A desk pet for your customizable Agentic assistants
Hold the lime light and talk. Your AI Agents, Agentic Assistants for your work, take the task in StellarFirm. You approve each step in the app. A Kickstarter campaign is coming soon.
What it is
A figure on a launch pad, for the work you already do in StellarFirm
Desk pet is the working name. It is a 3D-printed character on a D-shaped launch pad, the same characters as in the StellarFirm app. You pick one of three. Universities and science come first, then researchers, founders, builders and students. It is not a toy, and it is not for children.
- The launch pad in the design is 120 by 100 by 36 mm. A figure is at most 105 mm tall. Antennas on Zib and Nova add up to 22 mm on top.
- There is no screen and no wake word. You hold the lime light, then talk. The work runs in StellarFirm, on your account.
- One StellarFirm account per pet, and up to 10 pets on an account. Setup is USB-C in Chrome or Edge, or the pet's own Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz). Pairing is a setup code plus a confirm code the pet speaks.
How it works
Hold, talk, then approve in the app
1
Hold the lime light
Press and hold the light when you want to speak. Nova wears it on the chest, Zib as a belt buckle, Comet as a collar tag. A hardware switch can cut the microphone's power. Nothing starts listening on its own.
2
Talk
Let go and the pet listens. It stops after 5 seconds of silence, at 2 minutes, or when you tap. No audio is stored on StellarFirm. A note it could not send stays on the pet until the app confirms it.
3
Assistants do the work
The message is your own chat. Tools, approval rules, budgets and credits apply as they do in the app. A short line can be spoken back. The full answer is in the chat.
4
You approve in the app
The pet never approves a step. A nebula-purple blink means a step is waiting for you in the app. You decide it there.

The three pets
Nova, Zib and Comet
These are illustrations from the app, not photographs. No unit has been built yet, so there is nothing to photograph.
Nova
the astronaut
The lime light sits on the chest.
Zib
the alien
The lime light is the belt buckle.
Comet
the space cat
The lime light is the collar tag.
Where the work stands
Software in progress. No unit yet.
In the software
- Pairing, USB and Wi-Fi setup, voice turns, notices, offline notes, quiet hours and settings exist in the app, behind a switch that is off by default.
- Firmware tests pass. OpenSCAD CAD, a parts list, wiring notes and assembly notes are written.
Not done
- No unit has been assembled. The firmware has not run on hardware.
- The first units are a goal: a v1 prototype on perfboard, built by the founder.
- Voice packs are not rendered yet. Production security (flash encryption, secure boot, signed updates) is not built. Later board revisions are not built.
- There is no CE, RED, FCC or UN 38.3 certification.
Kickstarter
Early bird, as reward terms pending launch
- Early bird reward
- 120 EUR

- June 2027
Kickstarter reward terms, pending launch. This is not a StellarFirm plan price. Other reward levels are not published yet. The campaign is in review, so there is no campaign page to open.
Battery life is an estimate, not a measurement: about a day from a 2000 mAh cell, and about 2.5 hours to charge over USB-C.
